theres no point... ok, theres really no point in posting this cause no one ever comes here but i love tiger army so im gonna keep this forum slighty active. i will not let the tiger army board die!
ok, anyway, i saw tiger army at warped tour on august 8th. theyre so good live. i was really happy that the crowd was really mellow so i could actually watch TA.
i also got to meet the band. really nice guys. especially geoff. i think geoff spent most of his time at the merch booth so i got to talk to him a couple times. and as the lack of posts on this forum is showing, tiger army isnt the most popular band so there was pretty much no one at the merch booth. (actually, the first time i went to it and saw geoff, there was NO ONE there..well, except geoff and the merch guy)
well, if you wanna read more about my exciting story ( o_0 ) go to the afi board cause i posted it all there....

YEAH! I like Tiger Army! The Warped Tour sucked this year so I didn't go! YEAH! Sorry I'm not gunna read your story 'cause I don't like AFI! Post it here and I'll read it. YEAH! | luckyzero13 |
yay! another tiger army fan!
anywho, this is what i wrote in my xanga about warped tour. (you shoulda gone. even if you dont like the other bands it was worth it to see tiger army. but theyre touring with social distortion soon and headlining in the spring so you should definitly go then. i know i will be.)
"warped tour was amazing. i love
candace and bea for making it such a great
day! I met geoff from tiger army! heres what
i told someone on IM, i'll just copy and
paste.
"um, the first time i saw him he was
sitting at the merch booth and i just came up
and i was like "geoff, can i have a
picture with you?" and he said yeah
and got up right away and came and put his
arm around me.. and then i asked him some
questions and he was just really nice... and
then when i went back i got him to sign my cd
and i told him how amazing his set was and so
he kinda grabbed my back and pointed my in
the direction of the hot topic tent and said
if you wanna meet the rest of the band,
they'll be there signing there in ten
minutes. so of course i went, and got a pic
with mike cause i saw him before they started
signing...and then got nick and mike to sign
my cd, and got a picture with nick..but nick
i guess forgot to give me one of the free
posters he was giving out to get signed so
when i got to geoff i asked him if i could
get one or since i had the cd so maybe i
wasnt allowed or something..but geoff just
called down to nick and got me one and they
all signed it"
so nice. and the Tiger Army set was awsome.
the crowd was pretty mellow so instead of
watching to make sure i wasnt being killed, i
could actually watch tiger army. and i was
just smiling the whole time...
then we walked around for a bit..got some
t-shirts and other shit.. i got 8 shirts..heh
heh..2 tiger army shirts, a yellowcard,
sugarcult, casualties, coheed, letter kills
and a 'not my president' shirt. then
bea and candace went to the coheed set and i
went to meet tiger army..then ran back to
coheed, while still holding all the stuff i
got signed and got into the middle of the
crowd. it was so much fun. everybody sang
along and moshed and crowd surfed. then i met
up with bea and candace again and we saw the
sugarcult set. i was so impressed with their
live show. so much better than the cd. and
marko handed one of his picks to a security
guard and told him to hand it to bea. so that
was cool. then we met ryan from yellowcard
and tim and marko from sugarcult. they were
all really nice. oi, but the yellowcard set
was insane. the crowd was crazy. i kept
getting rammed up against bea's wheelchair
and at one point i was kicked in the face..
everyone around us started asking the
security guards to pull them out so candace
did too. and then i we got soomeone to pull
bea and her wheelchair out and then i got
out. that was a relief....stupid yellowcard
teenies.. so then after that bea really
wanted to meet LP, yellowcard's drummer so
we waited around and call his name and he
came over and started signind people's
stuff. so bea got to meet him, candace got to
meet tim from sugarcult, and i got to meet
geoff. we all got to see who we wanted to see
so that was awsome. i also got to see a
little of the casualties, bad religion, anti
flag and thursday. and everyone at warped is
so nice. if you havnt gone, i suggest you do.
i'll post the pics i got when i get
them..."
i already posted the pics on my xanga and they are no longer there, so if you want to see them, post here or send me and IM or something. my sn is incorporeal12 | shadowbug26 |
I just had to "bump" this thread up!!!
SEE BECCA, your persistance has paid off!!!
I sure wish everyone on iSound would do like you did - go to a forum of a band they like and keep at it, building a fan base and reving things up.
Unfortunately, too many iSound ppl just go to forums of bands they DO NOT like and bitch!!
That never made sense to me, cause they doesn't help anyone.
On the other hand, what you did has resulted in new TA fans and a wider TA exposure.
Great job. *puts gold star on Becca's forehead* | GrayBeard |
thats great u got to meet them, love TA. yea, idk when the last time any1 has posted here was, but theres not enough talk here for such an awsum band. neways, ill be in the afi/df board. | 420girl69 |
| the afi/df board that has recently shrunk... | shadowbug26 |
I love Tiger Army. I haven't really listened to that much of them but what i've heard kicks ass | mirrorinthebathroom |

"the afi/df board that has recently shrunk..."
A. DF?
B. The AFI board has recently shrunken for the obvious reason that they suck. | losersalwayswin |
DF is the despair faction. afi's fanclub.
so the AFI/DF board would be afi's official message board at afireinside.net
when i said it shrunk, i meant that there were less forums on it (theres usually about 11 of them, including the 3 that are restricted to DF members only) because of so much online traffic due to the increased popularity of AFI recently. I didnt mean there were less people. quite the opposite. just less places to talk. | shadowbug26 |
oh, and they cut down on the number of forums when there are a lot of people because the message board has a lot of rules, and moderators to enforce those rules. so times like may 8th or june 6th when there were just too many people to read every forum, they shrink it down so that the mods only have to look after a few forums and make sure everyone is following the rules (no talking about band member's personal lives, no spamming, etc) | shadowbug26 |
But everyone talks about band members' personal lives... | losersalwayswin |
