Best song I vote for Temptation, and if you vote for something else... well, you're fucking wrong.

so many to choose from. my favorites are incorporeal, annabel lee, f.t.w, nocturnal, wander alone, never die, atomic, rose of the devil's garden, santa carla twilight, in the orchard...and yes, temptation. | shadowbug26 |
THE ONLY SONG THAT I HEARD FROM THEM IS FTW FROM MY FRIEND THE PYROS DANNY AND ASHLEE | fuckfacebitch666 |
| haha | losersalwayswin |
On Ghost, my favorites are "Rose of the Devil's Garden", "The Long Road" (what a great band anthem), and "Swift Silent Deadly".
On Moonlite, my favorites are "Incorporeal", "Remembered Forever", and the absolute best of the best of both cds, and my new personal anthem "F.T.W"!!!! | GrayBeard |
"In the Orchard". It's so pretty. And "Nocturnal". "Annabel Lee" also, though I think it's because of the link with the Edgar Allan Poe poem.
STILL haven't got my hands on a copy of "Ghost Tigers Rise" (or indeed, any money to buy it with once if I do actually manage to find it...)! Or any of the EPs, for that matter. | spottyslippers |
"Ghostfire" is my favorite now.
Wait, is that even fucking Tiger Army?
Whatever. | losersalwayswin |
Oh my God. What is wrong with you, Losers? The Horrorpops, as far as I am concerned, have maybe three songs. At that, they are a good band. These guys have none. Eeeeeeew. How could you like this disgusting hillbilly rehash of AFI? | xzar |
Um...we just do?
We're all AFI fans as well. | spottyslippers |
Sometimes it's hard to explain why you like something, and that applies to me when concerning Tiger Army. So why does that mean there's something "wrong" with me, or make me a "loser"? Or any other Tiger Army fan?
It doesn't. And I wouldn't think you were a loser for liking a band I dislike, because I understand that if I insulted everyone who had a different opinion to me, then I would be a very lonely person.
I mean, there's a way of expressing a negative opinion about something constructively, without rudely criticzing those who have an opposing opinion to you. I'm sure we'd be open to listen to what you have to say if you'd said it politely, but isn't it a little feeble just to insult people you don't even know? | spottyslippers |
I said "losers" because the person whom I was talking to is called "losers".
gahhhh. | xzar |
| Okay. Apologies. | spottyslippers |
"Hillbilly rehash of AFI" is actually kind of an accurate description of TA music.
Except, of course, there is a real strong possibility the TA actually influenced AFI instead of the other way around.
In which case a more accurate statement would be "AFI is a de-hillbillying of TA"
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
But either way, I like them both!!! | GrayBeard |
Weeeeell. AFI used to sound different than they do. That is, different than the Tiger Army sound. I don't know how long Tiger Army has been around. That's an interesting thought. It might be that AFI's sound shifted *because* of Tiger Army... if Tiger Army sounded like that back then.. I would not know. I thought Tiger Army was newer than AFI... | xzar |
I imagine both bands kind of influenced each other. AFI are by far the older band, but their style actually began to change around the time they were introducing Tiger Army to the world at gigs ('98-'99-ish). So hence, AFI could well have been influenced by TA, particularly the "horror punk" (kind of) lyricism in the songs.
Well, not horror punk...but I'm sure you know what I mean.
On the other hand, I think it far more likely that TA were influenced by AFI. AFI were starting to move in darker, more melodic directions before Tiger Army even emerged, and were already forming the elements of a sound that can be heard in TA's music nowadays.
Ah, it's another long and complicated post. Sorry. | spottyslippers |
they both influenced each other.
yay.
ok im done. | shadowbug26 |
So much more concise than what I just rambled on about! | spottyslippers |
| haha. i try my best :-P | shadowbug26 |
Hey xzar, glad to have ya posting in the TA and HorrorPops forums, u have some good thoughts on them. | GrayBeard |
Bah. You are just being overtly and almost offensively positive. | xzar |
Ok, xzar, if it will make you feel better than me being "offensively positive", let me just say:
BITE ME!!!
hahahaha
(I didn't say that in too positive of a way did I????)
Feel better? | GrayBeard |
No. Because. Well, I was going to say that I should be quite offending to you and your AFI/Tiger Army/Horrorpops band members obsession.. but that isn't you, is it?
So. Nevermind. I just wish you weren't so damned... garghhll... there's a word for it.. I just can't think of it. | xzar |
I mean. I expect you to say "tee-hee" after half of your posts, for God's sake.. | xzar |
Ok,
Tee-hee.
Feel better now? | GrayBeard |
im so confused..but that may be because ive gotten a total of 3 hours of sleep for the whole weekend... | shadowbug26 |
Hope ur throat feels better anyway. There is nothing worse than strep throat.
| GrayBeard |
| Poor Becca. :( | spottyslippers |
oh, thanks. my strep is better though. i took the medicine that my doctor gave me and it cleared up.
i was just out all weekend...so thats why i didnt sleep. sleep is just time you could have spent having fun, right? haha | shadowbug26 |
"Oh my God. What is wrong with you, Losers?

rehash of AFI?"
HorrorPops. Eww. Makes my head hurt. | losersalwayswin |
"AFI used to sound different than
they do."
They used to be like, punk. Then they started sucking, and now the singer sounds like Gerard Way's future offspring (if he can stop fuckin' his brother and get a girl). | losersalwayswin |
"Bah. You are just being overtly and almost
offensively positive."
Always that way... | losersalwayswin |
| way to be an ass... | shadowbug26 |
So here I am, feeling all sorry for Becca thinking her strep throat was so bad that she couldn't even get any sleep all weekend long!!!
THEN I find out she didn't get any sleep all weekend cause she was PARTYING!!!!
That's it. No more feeling sorry for Becca.
Even if she gives us that "my throat hurts" story again just remember, she is a party animal who is undoubtedly having WAY MORE FUN than you are!!!!! | GrayBeard |
Hey Becca, you got it right about fun vs sleep.
I'll bet the last words out of someone's mouth just before they die will NEVER be:
"Gee, I wish I had gotten more sleep before I died!!!"
hahahahaha | GrayBeard |
in my defense, i wasnt exactly partying. i was at a religious retreat. my religion happens to be very laid back and open minded though...so it might as well have been partying...but yeah.. | shadowbug26 |
Ok, this is TOOOO amazingly interesting to pass up without at least a few questions:
So am I to understand that the iSound Resident Psychobilly Expert, a genre which is not exactly "religion friendly", divides her time between partying and religious endeavors?
So what religion is laid back enough for one of their retreats to be considered like partying by a hard core, mosh pit loving, billy bashing rock queen? | GrayBeard |
haha.
im a proud Unitarian Universalist. and have been my whole life. | shadowbug26 |
So you are a U2 huh? Actually I never heard of it until right now, but you can bet your psychobilly cd collection I am going to find out some more about it!!!
The name sounds kinda neat, maybe even hella nifty!!! | GrayBeard |
Ok, I checked out the UU and can honestly say this to you:
WOW!!! Now I seriously thing you are super super hella hella nifty nifty COOL!!!!
What a great religion. Heck I would not even call it a religion since the term itself has such a damn negative meaning.
We truly wish everyone believed and acted the way the UU does! | GrayBeard |
yep, basically us UUs are pretty damn awsome.
my UU friends are my best friends. i only get to see most of them a few times a year, but i can't even explain how much i love them all. | shadowbug26 |
Sandi & I were talking about the UU a lot today. It is just way cool, er, I mean, hella nifty!!
You should most definitly be proud of them, and I can understand how some of your best friends are your UU friends.
While reading the UUA website the John Lennon song "Imagine" kept popping into my head!!! | GrayBeard |
| I don't get it. | losersalwayswin |
Go read about the UU ideal at WWW.UUA.ORG and you will see what I mean.
Lennon's song "Imagine" portrayed a dream world where there was a brotherhood of man, where all ppl accepted other ppl, where the only behavior was goodwill towards others.
Get it now? | GrayBeard |

That idea is absolutely horrible.
But, yeah, I "get it."*
