Tom began his music career playing bass for the successful, Edmonton based, top-forty rock band called "Night Shift." Due to their frequent club dates, Tom had lots of opportunity to gain performing experiences and learn much about the music biz! As well, Tom has obtained more formal music training through the years such as the MME Commercial Music Studies Program in Vancouver and the Vocal Performance Program at Grant MacEwan College in Alberta. Now performs as a solo act and plays bass for"Mid-Life Crisis", a local rock group.
Received 'Certificate Of Achievement' for the song, 'Locked In Her Heart' as an Entry Of Merit in the 1997 Unisong International Song Contest.
Silver Certificate awarded at Futures Fest 2005 (Original Singer/Songwriter).
Performed live at the Edmonton Grand Prix 2005 with ‘Mid Life Crisis`.
Performed at Summer Concert, original material at B Scene Studios June 25, 2006
Competed at Vocal Talent contest at Canada Day event held at Alexandra Area,
Edmonton on July 1, 2006
Played Bass for "Mid-Life Crisis Band" for a Lauderdale Hall social in Edmonton on November 18, 2006
Attended Canada Music Week conference in March 7-10 2007 at Toronto Ontario.
Performed with Mid-Life Crisis (a classic rock band) in the summer of 2007 at West Edmonton Music Society.
Requested by the 'Wagonmasters' (Porter Wagoner's backup group) group to include my original "Why Are You A Storm" on their tribute album.
Played at a social at the 'Clansman Rugby Club' with Mid-Life Crisis on June 6, 2008.
Presented new original song at Student Summer Review at B Scene Studios-"Waiting For Work" on June 29th, 2008.
Joined AMIA in July 2008 and will be volunteering at the Western Canadian Music Awards later this year in October.
Song "Pushed My Life" published in fall of 2008 by Highway 60 Publishing, BMI.
My song "Met Her In A Park" was also published in the Fall of 2008 by Charlie Ray Publishing.
