Born and raised in London, ON, Canada, I've had a passion for music since the tender age of 4 years old. Influenced by a cross-section of music genre's, I began teaching myself to play the acoustic guitar at the age of 18. Having little patience to learn to read music, I tried my hand at guitar chord basics. I spent hours learning to play by ear to the songs of CCR, John Mellencamp and Bruce Springsteen - and almost anything else acoustic that I thought might be "easy to learn".
At least a decade would pass before my chance to play before my first "live" audience would occur. It came after my move to Fort Erie, ON in 1999 at a pub called, The Other Side in Ridgeway, ON. It was here that I saw and met singer/acoustic guitar duo, Rick Sherk and Paul Brady. I eventually invited myself to join the duo on stage one night to play JCM's, "Pink Houses". The rest, as they say, is history...
In 2001, Rick and I teamed up to play acoustic sets across the Niagara region - the Blue Martini (Hilton Hotel, Niagara Falls), Kelsey's (Fort Erie) and a short stint at Dagwood's Bar (Crystal Beach). I work to please an audience and quickly earned myself the nickname, "Lil' Boss", for my sound-likeness to Bruce Springsteen. I returned to my native London area in the Fall of 2003 and now make my home in the small community of Dutton. I devote much of my free time to writing, arranging, recording and producing my original songs in my home studio I affectionately call, Studio 19.
