Arising from the remnants of various other musical endeavors, thetrackrecord became a reality in January of 2003. This Annapolis, Maryland quartet communicates an intelligent sound with an energy that is evident in their recordings as well as their performances.
Though their history is relatively brief, these 20 year olds have wasted no time in establishing themselves within the region. Beginning to develop a solid fan base through independent promotion and grassroots internet marketing in the Summer of 2003, the band has since maintained a steady touring schedule spanning the length of the East Coast.
Each member holds unique musical interests, yet it is their common partiality towards experimentation that facilitates their compatibility as writers. Vocals are delivered with a powerful clarity, punctuating a polished instrumental in which creative percussion and a practical bass line contribute to the melody as if they were lead instruments. Such precision allows for an innovative use of complementing riffs and chord progressions that eliminate the concept of a lead guitarist within the band. thetrackrecord speaks through an ability to identify with the delicate human condition. Their lyrics paint an often painfully honest portrait of modern youth, offering perspective to listeners on a personal level.
Rob, Hasani, Mike, and Rob V. are confident that the future will bring their music to new audiences and earn them professional support. They hold a focus that is matched only by their passion for music itself, and as they continue to progress as musicians and mature as people, their resolve to prosper within the industry will only grow.
