Tre’ G
The strong, smooth and range full voice of the up and coming R&B artist Tre’ G is about to take REAL music to a whole new level. His music is going to give the world a sound that the R & B world has been in search of.
Tre’ G, a. k. a. Travis Garrett, was born and raised in a small town in Alabama and has lived in parts of Georgia where he now resides. Tre’ G started singing at the tender age of seven. His musical, stylistic and harmonic sounds derive from a strong gospel background. His unique sounds were instilled from the beginning by music teachers that included his mother and father. Tre’ G learned throughout his early years the melodic tones needed for singing.
Tre’ G recently competed in the “Best of the Best” talent show that was held at the well known Bradley Theatre, placing 1st in the R&B category. Three weeks later he performed at the annual Foxie 105 Spring Break Talent Show held at the legendary A. J. Mc Clung Memorial Stadium in Columbus, GA. where he also placed 1st in the Male singing category. At this event he shared the stage with performers Lil Scrappy, B5, Tyra and Boyz in the Hood. Tre’ G has become a regular performer at Club Triple 7 Private Lounge in Butler, GA. In July Tre was one of the featured acts at The F @ W Control Tower in Columbus, Ga. Be sure to look for him in upcoming shows in the southeastern region.
Tre’ G’s 2006 debut cd-album is in the making. He is currently working with some well-known producers in the music industry as well as some very talented young producers in the Georgia area. In addition to his singing Tre’ G displays a writing skill to match his musical style that will be featured on his upcoming album. The first single, “ Tainted Love" was written and arranged by Tre’ G. He co produced the track with a hot young producer named Brynel. Tre G also displays his acting skills in a movie script entitled, The Ha Ha Comedy Show, that is set to be released in the southeast in January 2006. The cast includes such comedians as Small Fry, Tyler, David Smith, Alfredo "Foodstamp" Williams and Dexter Tucker-yes Chris's brother. Tre recently did a live performance at a benefit dinner honoring Lonnie Jackson at the Bradley Theatre in Columbus, Ga.
When Tre’ G has time off he enjoys drawing, car audio and hanging out with his friends and family. When asked what his personality is like he said, “ I’m just a kid at heart.” When asked what he wants most to come out of his music he said, “Of course I want to be successful, but most of all, I want everybody young and old to be able to enjoy my music.”
