In 2001 C. Kearns, J Kearns, and C. Hunter founded TwistedSin with the intent of becoming a hardcore metal band. In the winter of 2003 came the addition of two members, D. Kearns, and M. Collis, and the final pieces needed to achieve their goal.
After nine months TwistedSin was in Black Cat Studios recording their first demo, ( Secrets, One Last Step to Suicide, Monster in My Mind, Divorce, Cast a Spell, Last Chance, and Expired.). Over the next 2 years they played in many venues across Minnesota including The Grotto in Askov, The Battleshack in North Branch, No-Fest in Grantsburg, The Rock in Mapplewood, Station4 in St. Paul, and The Urban Wildlife Club in Minneapolis.
In early 2004 new songs proved to be getting better and more technical ( Last Plea, Late Night, Murder and Massacre, Crawl Space, and Rebellion.), and in late 2004 and early 2005 a giant leap forward has been made to further push the bar of talent and new material. With songs like Confessions, Dark Shades, and Relapse it is safe to say that the energy and creativity is on the rise, and with new material still in the process of being written, it doesn’t look like things are slowing down for TwistedSin.
The stage show is something that is loved by the band, with their make up, props, and high energy level, they have something to prove every appearance they make on the stage.
TwistedSin is ready to be thrown into the big picture when it comes to the metal scene, with over twenty songs on reserve for albums, dedication to the music and the fans, and a drive that is not slowing down to anything.
In two years TwistedSin has their first website www.twistedsin.com, and in one year has had over 1400 hits, won 3 battle of the bands out of 5, but has never done worse than 2nd, and built a respectable following who comes to every show.
In Sep. 05 we realied that we could not work with our dj any more, so the search is currently on for a guitar player to replace him. |
