| Acoustic Lounge Cafe from the astonishing Brazilian acoustic guitar player Ulisses Rocha, shows his versatility in mixing guitar, acoustic instruments and electronics samplers with sophisticated jazz arrangements and Brazilian Popular Music (MPB).
Ulisses Rocha in 1977, seven years after he started playing acoustic guitar, his interest for the Jazz and MPB, increases and he joins the Acoustic Guitar Trio “D'alma”, that revolutionized the instrument's language to the world and later inspired the legendary group formed by John Maclaughlin, Paco de Lucia and Al di Meola.
He also played with Brazilian (MPB) top artists such as Gal Costa, Zé Renato, Olívia Byington, Heraldo do Monte, recorded with Hermeto Pascoal, Hugo Fatoruso, Roberto Carlos, Sá & Guarabira, Ritchie, Diana Pequeno, Cida Moreira, Ronnie Von, Marlui Miranda, Vânia Bastos and shared the stage with Egberto Gismonti, Al di Meola, Toquinho, Eliane Elias, Canhoto da Paraíba, Marco Pereira, Paulo Belinatti and the group Boca Livre. As a solo artist, he performed at the Paris Jazz Festival, Free Jazz Festival and several other international Jazz and MPB festivals. |
