History/Biography (short)
Under Darkest Skies is heavy, ambient, trancy, and melodic gelling many different stlyes of music into one. Experimentation and being diverse within our music is our ultimate goal, being truely different keeps us from being pigeon-toed into one specific genre of metal for UDS can fit within a few different catagorys although listeners and many of our fans have labeled us Doom/Stoner metal or Gothic Metal. Under Darkest Skies cares not for any type of trends and is in no way influenced by any for we believe that if you follow trends and are trying to be someone else that you are nothing more than a fabrication.
Under Darkest Skies is a band that creates music from the heart based upon inner passion and emotion or the lack there of...Under Darkest Skies blends a mixture of psychedelic rock, doom/goth, atmosphere, melody, into a depressing mix in which they can almost call a genre of their own and such has been stated by a member of the doom-metal.com team...The lyrical content contains abstract dark imagery forged together with short story telling with the subjects of: Lost faith, fantasy and desire, personal woe and tragedy, and curiosity surrounding death. Under Darkest Skies was created by Steven, Adam, and Kevin as a collaborative recording project in early 2004 with the intention of being experimental and adding alot of emotion and originality to their music that they felt was lacking in much of music today. But After recieving interest from many web radio stations UDS became a full time project and now has a growing fan base that we like to call the UDS Underground. Under Darkest Skies does not follow and cares not for the whole "we must do this because they are mentality" and writes music to release their own personal emotions and strife. UDS will always remain experimental and will/might try anything...
