undermain has appeared in brass bands, punk thrash and assorted electronic outfits.
Mixing electronic beats to acid house/deep house, the current project incorporates drums, synths, sequencers and samplers.
Influences: Kraftwerk, DAF, Joy Division, New Order, KLF, Prodigy, Nirvana, Nick Cave, Tom Waites, Louis Armstrong and the Chemical Brothers.
undermain's earlier projects with the Lords of Discipline and Bohemian Nightmare quartets, featuring Tim Triff on drums and Matt Black on a Strat copy, were received to acclaim. Their debut album 'Notes on Eating Bread' remains an underground punk-thrash classic. In the late 80s, undermain collaborated with the elektro/psychedelic trio of Jungle Junk, with vocalist Cathy Bogatec on bass, Matt Black on the Korg and other assorted crew. Their production of live stripped-down, raw elektro provided a 'unique perspective' on constructed sound.
Produced at Untermain-Studios, Frankfurt/Main
