Ok Vamp, this is what I think a real goth is,
not the kind of "goth" that
dresses in all black to be a
"freak" but a REAL goth. Tell
me if I am at all right.
Goth, in its simplest form, is a
subculture. Most ppl become goths because
they are rejected by "normal"
society, because how they live their live
does not fit in with how ppl are TOLD to
live.
Goths are free thinkers, and do not accept
the moral rules of society. Goths tend to
listen to what you say, then make up their
own minds. This kind of free thinking earns
only rejection from todays society.
Prepsruledood (or what ever her name is)
keeps saying ALL goths cutt, ppl also think
ALL goths worship the devil, or drink blood,
this is not the case at all. All goths are
diff, they dress diff, listen to diff music,
if all goths were the same, then they would
no longer be thinking for them selfs, but
once again they would be listening to other
ppl on "what goth should be".
Goths do not fear much either. In todays
society, talking about death, or religeon,
magic or misticism, is considered
"taboo". But goths feel, if you
lose the fear in the subject, then there is
no reason to not discus it. Most goths
believe, that fear is only a reaction
instiled in us by other ppl.
So basicaly, what I have learned about
goths, is that, they are just different, and
that is frowned upon. They are poeple to,
they just dont like to follow the rules of
society just because they are told it is

being who is unique. I think Armand would
like to think of goths as being that, but, to
be fair, I think that "goth" is
a subculture that is much smaller and more
specifically oriented than what you
described. I can be a freethinker and
whatever else you described without being
remotely gothic. I liked the description,

I was not sure if I was right, goth is a
hard thing to explain, but when talking to
real goths, that is what I get from them,
that is how I feel they think, most of them
any way. But I think it a sort of a touchy
subject, I think every one thinks of
"goth" in a different way, but
it also seems to me, that all goths are
different also. So many ppl think of goths as
"evil" like it is a bad thing
to be different. Vamp will you explain to us
what goth is?? I really want to know, poeple
call me goth all the time, I do know real
goths, and they have not said any thing to
me. You will probably call me a posseur for
saying that, but I am not sure if im goth, I
dont think for myself as much as I would
like, I try, but when things are forsed on
