Valerino had the dream of becoming a musician at the age of nine {9}. the dream came to reality when the drummer who was suppose to cover a show for his { Valerino} father’s band left four days before the show. Valerino volunteered to lean the drums within three days, and to the amazement of everybody, he covered the show not only with the drums but also with the backup vocals {playing and singing at the same time}. Following the success of the show, Valerino became the drummer of the band and his inspiration increased. He was just a month and ten days old in the band when his father {the founder of the band} died leaving him and his {Valerino’s} brothers and some older members of the band to keep the fire burning. Valerino was the youngest among his brothers in the band. Following the “on and off” of some important members of the band like the guitarists, Valerino lean to play the guitar and again became the lead and the youngest guitarist in the band. When he thought that his musical skills were not enough for the international standard, he proceeded to the city to further develop his kind of music. Valerino have a special appreciation for rock music. In the city, he met a friend known as Mr Luvles {real name is Joseph Idalu} who put him through in rock music and how to read the guitar tablature and other things he was lacking in music. Valerino blended his local style of music with the western pattern, that is how he derived the style he called Afro tinged rock {a blend of African and deferent western rhythm and melodies}. U are D One {one of Valerino’s songs} is an example of an Afro tinged rock music. Valerino started to write his own songs and had many and he needed to record a demo for presentation at that time, and due to lack of sponsorship for first timers in the society where he live in, he decided to take the next available job opportunity. That is how Valerino became a police officer. Although he did not come into the police through the music department, he was known as {nicknamed by his colleagues} the “O/C Guitar” because he was always seen playing his acoustic guitar each time he is not officially working. The police band had occasionally borrowed him from his own department to help them cover shows. Valerino is a Nigerian and he hails from Etsako central Local Government area of Edo state. His kind of music includes rock {Afro. tinged rock} hip-hop, high-life, etc. His major instrument is the Guitar {acoustic and electric}. He can perform live in any kind of stage settings {he can perform with a Band, alone with his acoustic Guitar, or with a DJ} and trill his Audience to their satisfaction. He writes, arrange and perform his songs. He has played in several events and shows across Nigeria. Valerino was discovered by the CEO of Chikin Records, and he brought him into the label.
