Veruca Salt were formed in 1992. The band consisted of members Louise Post, Nina Gordon, Steve Lack and in her time has had two drummers Jim Shapiro and Stacey Jones (drummer for their 1997 tour). In 1994 the band released their critically and commercially acclaimed albulm "American Thighs". Their first sigle "Seether" was a hit and is sad to be written by Nina after her and fellow band member Louise had a fight leaving Nina feeling like she would like to "bash her (Louise) face in." In 1996 the band released an EP named "Blow it up your ass, It's Veruca Salt". In 1997 the band released its second full legnth albulm "Eight arms to hold you" featuring the hit track "Volcano Girls" as well as singles "Benjamin" and "Awesome". In 1998 the band had a falling out with guitar/vocalist Nina Gordon leaving. Louise Post is the only original member of Veruca Salt and now with new drummer Jimmy Malda, Stephen Fitzpatrick on guitar and Suzanne Sokol on bass and vocals the band released their newest albulm "Resolver" in May, 2000.
