Violent is the project of two musicans, for whom music the elexir of life is.
Both were born 1959 and have been active musically since the 1970s, originally using traditional instruments of the classic Rock and Pop style. Durning the 1990s their musicals direction changed, due to cultural influences, as well as trends such as Elektro, Wave, Dance and Ambient. These elements, combined with the new synthesizer sounds, produce fantastic mixtures full of innovations and emotions.
It is virtually impossible to put "Violent" into any specific category, somtimes the Rock and Pop elements predominante, then the electronic components like Dance,or Electro are in the foreground. Violent regrets the combination of differing styles as an outlet for their creativity.
Ses" & "Anlin" stehen im Zentrum der musikalischen Welt von Violent. Gegründet 1995 von Sven Ehlers schloß sich ein Jahr später Andreas Lindner der Formation an. Obwohl sich die beiden Musiker schon lange kannten und sich ihre musikalichen Wege schon gekreuzt hatten formierten sie sich erst relativ spät zu einer gemeinsamen Band.
Musik spielt in den Köpfen von Violent schon seit den 70er Jahren eine wichtige Rolle. Anfangs rein auf traditionellen Instrumenten; im Laufe der Zeit wurden beide Musiker immer experimentierfreudiger und öffneten ihre musikalische Welt synthetischen und modernen Klangbildern, vergassen dabei aber nie ihre musikalischen Wurzeln.
Häufig werden die Soundtüftler auf ihren Bandnamen angesprochen, doch wer Violent mit " Gewalttätig" übersetzt der irrt. Violent spricht mit ihrer Musik und ihren Texten bewußt provokant Gegensätzliches aus, was besonders in der Kombination Bandname und Liedtext oft deutlich wird. Man kann Violent auch als "heftig", z.B. in Verbindung mit Leidenschaft übersetzen und das sind Sie....Leidenschaftliche Musiker. |
