Following a three-year formulating process, The Volcanoless in Canada project crystallized its’ destined full lineup in mid-2006 when Yorkton, Saskatchewan-based childhood friends & band members Mitch Lysak and Joel Hryniuk met and fused artistically with Enver Hampton & Lévi Soulodre from Saskatoon while attending the University of Saskatchewan. Volcanoless’ sound strives to combine precise rhythms and intricate melodies with the appeal and high-paced energy of modern rock music.
Volcanoless in Canada bases their sonic principle on the coordination of a triple guitar assault, where three acoustic guitars play complementary and interweaving melody lines within the rhythmical domain set by the bass and drums combo. Through this original concept, Volcanoless’ music stretches across a wide musical spectrum, embracing elements of rock, alternative, folk, country, punk and dance.
While Volcanoless in Canada’s first steps into the performance world have been met with great success with an unbroken streak of sold-out shows in Saskatoon and a reputation from intensely energetic & passionate performances, the band is enjoying blooming success, having showcased at this year’s NXNE, New Music West, S.C.E.N.E., Junofest & Western Canadian Music Awards and shared the stage with You Say Party! We Say Die!, David Usher, Mother Mother & Sylvie. Volcanoless produced & recorded their first full-length studio album with Byron Chambers of Activate Studios in Regina, Saskatchewan, available worldwide on ITunes & CDbaby.com. Volcanoless is currently producing a 2nd full-length for an early 2008 release. Prepare for the musical eruption!
