Whitesnake is one of the most popular groups in english rock in the 80's. David Coverdale is the founding member and singer, has influences from the hard rock band Deep Purple. The drummer Cozy Powell came from the british band Rainbow, and the guitarist John Sykes was from Thin Lizzy. The original lineup also has the keyboardist from Deep Purple, Jon Lord. From Trapeze the guitarist and vocalist Mel Galley. This group was founed in 1982 and they get success very fast in England. They made their debut 2 years later, in April with Slide it in, thre album producer was Martin Birch who has olso worken with other great bands like Deep Purple, Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden, and was mixed by Keith Olsen. This album has 2 songs in the charts that are Guilty of love and Give me more time. In 1987 they release Here I go again taht was played a lot in the radio and in MTV.
