From the early days of the british invasion to the 80's The Who broke new ground, equipment and ear drums. Defining rock and roll with pete townsened's guitar riff's accompanied with Roger Dahltry's verastile vocals and lyrics. Britian was run over with the beatles but the who took over the whole country of england and the usa by writing unforgettable rock and roll songs and memorable times with songs like Baba O Riley, Pinball Wizard, Substitue, Behind Blue Eyes and many more. In 1979 the who was put to a halt with the shocking death of drummer Keith Moon, Moon was replaced with formal Small faces drummer Kenny Jones. Townsed had a period of frequent alcohol and drug abuse problems, many fans simply thought the band outstayed their welcome, and the band had a very hard time even forgiving themselves. The Who deserve to be mentioned as one of the best bands of the century and certainly one of the most greatest up with zeppelin, floyd, the beatles no doubt this band deserves that.
