Will Smith was born Willard Christopher Smith, Jnr. On September 25th, 1968 in West Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Willard and Caroline Smith, Snr.His father was a refridgerator engineer and his mother was a school board employee. He was the second of four children, Pam (b. 1964), and twins Ellen and Harry (b. 1971). He grew up in the middle class section of Phillie. He got the nickname “Prince” because of the way he charmed his way out of trouble. He had been rapping since the age of 12. At a party he met Jefforey Townes and they later formed a group called DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince. They became popular, and released two albums, and won a grammy for “He’s the DJ, I’m the rapper”. When he was 18, he stared in a show called the “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air”. The show ran for 6 seasons. He also had a role in “Where the Day takes You”, “Made in America”, and “Six Degrees of Separation”. Although it was the sucess of Bad Boys that impressed many Hollywood producers. He played Mike Lowery, a Miami cop. In March of 1992, his girlfriend Sheree Zampino was pregnant, they married on May 9th, 1992 and the baby was born in December, it was a boy, Willard Christopher Smith, III (aka Trey Smith). They separated and divorced in 1995. In 1996 he had another smash hit, Independance Day, he played Captain Steven Hiller, a pilot sent in to counter a massive ailien invasion. In 1997 he met Jada Pinkett, he also stared in Men In Black as Agent J, they started dating and she became pregnant in November of 1997. They got married December 31st, 1997, and they had a son, Jadan Christopher Syre’ Smith, born on July 8th, 1998. He released an album “Big Willie Style” with the hits, “Miami”, “Gettin’ giggi with it”, and “Just the two of Us”, dicribing the relationship between him and his son Trey. The album went nine times platinum. In 1998 he stared in “Enemy of State” and in ’99 “Wild Wild West”. In 2000, he stared in “The legend of Bagger Dance” and “Ali”, a biography of the boxer Muhammad Ali. Also that year he had his second child with Jada, a girl, Willow Camille Reign Smith born on October 31st, 2000. In 2002, he played in the sequal to Men in Black, “Men in Black 2”, and in 2003 the sequal to Bad Boys “Bad Boys 2”.
