Womb Raiders Bio:
Womb Raiders was founded in the desert wastelands of Southern California by Anthony (THE BUTCHER) Lustmord (Vocals) and Nick (DOH) Thomas (Bass/Drum Prog) in the summerof 2003. Jay (UNCLE SLAY) May was added in early 2004 as the lead guitarist.
Womb Raiders plays throughout the West Coast, mainly in Southern California. We have played with our brothers in the IE DEATH CREW Army Of Darkness, Accion Terrorista. We have done shows with, and continue to do shows with some of the best metal bands around such as Exhumed, Cannibal Corpse, and Obituary. Womb Raiders is known for controversial and very offensive and brutal music.
Womb Raiders have been gaining fame in the Extreme Metal Underground. The Official website has only been online since march 2005 and has already gotten more than 16,000 unique hits (Sept. 2005 stats.) Womb Raiders have signed an exclusive deal with the internationally known SYMPHONIC BLAST PRODUCTIONS. They will release some albums from Womb Raiders in the very near future. Womb Raiders will be one of the headlining acts on the Extreme Assult Fest in 2006.
Womb Raiders are members of HEAVYCORE. Which is a union of metal bands from all over the world. Only the most brutal/heavy metal bands are allowed to join. Some of the other bands that are members are Low Twleve, Venom, Morbid Angel, Dying Fetus, Pro-Pain. Womb Raiders are also members of the CADM which is a branch of the USDM. A group of extreme metal bands from around the USA started by Will Rahmer of Mortician. Bands include Mortician, Malignancy, Fecal Corpse, Goratory, and many more great bands.
Vocalist Anthony Lustmord is the former front man of the extreme metal bands Lustmord, Murders Inc., and The Axe Murder Boys. Anthony also founded Death Rape Records in 2000, and has been running the label ever since. In 2003 Sanguinary Entertainment (a low budget horror, and porn production film company) was added, and Death Rape Records became Death Rape Inc. In 2005 SCEM PRODUCTIONS (label, studio/album production, management services, and booking) was added to Death Rape Inc. as well.
Jay, and Doh are now out of the band, Mike, Edmund, and Jose have taken their place. We are currently working on new material. Please add us on myspace if you use that as we check that most often. |
