| 1Corinthians 9:24 Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Today there are many athletic competitions and everyone is competing to win their trophy. In the same way as athletes train, Jesus trains us, believers to persevere everything that comes our way in this world. One day i was listening to a song by Switchfoot. In it there was a line that really stood out to me"I have no generation show me my motivation". Its hard to be a christian these days. The statistics say that 1/3 of us have been drunk in the last month,1/4 of use use illegal drugs,we will see 14,000 sexual references on tv this year, the world is screaming "GO DO IT". I want to challenge christians to stand strong in a world where faith is fading. I want to awaken in my generation something that's been dead. I want to motivate girls to stay pure and make Jesus first. i want to challenge my brothers and sisters in christ to take a stand and to share Christ. There are millions of people commiting suicide each day...we pass them by all the time.. on the way to work,in a supermarket, in a restaurant,at school etc. we pass them and never tell them about the most important person they can know. Jesus revolutionized my life and only through him can we revolutionize the world.
*here is an explanation of the meaning behind the songs that i wrote.*
Have you ever felt so thirsty? just so dehydrated to the point where u felt if u don't have water you will die? "Fill Up My Cup" talks about how I thirst for Jesus. He's my water and in Him i find peace, love, joy and my selfesteem. When i became a christian sharing my faith was a challege for me. I always was too concentrated about what people would think of me. Now i see the reward in it. I wrote "ANTHEM" for all of us who get teased everyday for sharing our faith. i wrote the song for all the "lil Christ's" out there and all the "Jesus freaks. This song is a huge motivation for me, it tells me that i am not alone and it tells all of us not to give up. people might make fun of you now but they will always remeber what you told them. The Bible tells us that God's word never returns void.
