New to Australian music is pop-rock band Zinc. They have one single out, to date, called "The Morning After" and their album is due out in the first week of October.
The members are Adam Ray on Lead Tambourine (not rhythm... but LEAD tambourine), Jono O'Shea on lead guitar, and brother Mark O'Shea also on lead guitar. (With all 3 being the lead singers.) Mark is known for always wearing a beanie.
They have done back-up vocals on an album for Ringo Starr (from the Beatles), worked with Hanson and Aerosmith.
They have recently been touring with Shannon Noll on his "Overdrive" tour as his supporting job, and my oh my what a great job they have done! For a band that isn't very well known they sure get the crowd worked up and cheering for them!!
They have been based in L.A. for several years now trying to kick their career off the ground, but when Warner in Australia heard of them, they snatched the boys right up.
I look forward to seeing more from these boys in the not to distant future! |
